Feelings are less overwhelming when we are not alone.

I use a variety of approaches which I have learned and found great value in across the years of my own journey as a therapist. These sit on top of foundational conditions which represent a standardised practice recognised by the Australian Health Practitioners Regulatory Agency (AHPRA).

I provide Dynamic Interpersonal Therapy (DIT), and Interpersonal Psychotherapy (I.P.T) and have an advanced level of training in Eye Movement Desensitisation And Reprocessing (EMDR). Interventions included in these therapies align with third wave C.B.T such as Schema Therapy. An example of this is working with the inner child to resolve early traumatic attachment.

I also work as a psychotherapist and provide an AEDP therapy. AEDP has a somatic connection and is a healing relational experience where we undo aloneness, amplify glimmers of energy and life and amplify them, and where I help you to restore and cherish those parts of yourself which need help. AEDP is especially helpful for people suffering from the effects of trauma.

Let’s confirm what your goals are. After talking about what you would like to achieve, we set about doing that together. Sometimes we slow everything down and connect with underlying feelings and experiences together.

Interpersonal Psychotherapy (I.P.T), is an attachment based therapy. I.P.T is an evidence based therapy which helps with depression and anxiety. I.P.T identifies the four underlying stressors for depression as: grief and loss, times where a person is in a transitional stage of life, being socially isolated and low in social skills, and experiencing high levels of conflict with others.

I have an accreditation in Dynamic Interpersonal Therapy (D.I.T) from the Tavistock Institute in London. D.I.T is a mentalization based, 16 session, experiential psychodynamic therapy for mild to moderate depression and anxiety.

I have an advanced training in Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR). EMDR is a therapy which reprocesses traumatic memory, reconsolidating and healing painful traumatic events. This neurological/physical therapy can also help with: pain, dental phobia and fear of flying. EMDR can also be used for your physical health, for example managing cravings for food which are high in sugars and fats. I integrate EMDR into a more relational therapy with trauma.
